Introduction

In "The Sign of Four", Dr. Watson said Sherlock Holmes presented a lecture at Scotland Yard on the 'Bishopgate jewel case'. This is the adventure Dr. Watson wrote concerning the case.

The great Saint Pope Pius X hired Sherlock to look into this affair. It's one of the five cases Dr. Watson said Sherlock handled for the Papacy and Vatican.

It's the most singular file I've found to date in Sherlock's French Files. It looks as long as "The Hound of the Baskervilles".

But Watson wrote much in his "hurried hand" and I can't read it. Only an expert in handwriting, along with an experienced Sherlockian, will be able to decipher it.
